Overview:
MBCT-L, or Mindfulness for Life, blends the ancient practice of mindfulness with contemporary cognitive-behavioural strategies. This approach provides individuals with practical skills to lessen distress and suffering, whilst nurturing capacities that support well-being and flourishing. About the Course: Mindfulness for Life is a comprehensive, skills-based course tailored for the general population, regardless of where individuals are on the spectrum of well-being. The course encourages participants to integrate mindfulness into daily life to help cultivate a deeper sense of resilience and enable positive change. The 8-week course is an immersive journey exploring attitudes of compassion, joy, befriending and equanimity. |
The key learning points include:
- Developing mindfulness skills through a range of practices and exercises
- Starting to recognise patterns of mind, recognising unhelpful reactivity, and exploring alternative ways of thinking and responding.
- Cultivating habits that encourage well-being, kindness and flourishing
- Learning to appreciate and savour the positive aspects of life.
